HEKO's new manufacturing plant
The HEKO Manufacturing Plant 2 started its operations in December 2004. The HEKO's new branch is located within the Zakłady Chemiczne DWORY (the DWORY Chemical Plant) facilities at town of Oświęcim. Plant 2 manufactures PMMA panels.
Important notice to our Customers: Please be informed that the trademark of our panels was changed. The old trademark was METAPLEX ®. The new trademark is PLEXPOL®.
A trademark application has been submitted in the Urząd Patentowy RP (Poland's Patent and Trademark Office).
We are assuring our Customers that we continue the production according to the quality assurance procedures adopted and with our proven staff involved. Those factors allow us manufacturing products with their physical and chemical parameters unchanged.
We are going to be granted an ISO 9001:2000 certificate for this production plant. This procedure is going to be easy as the quality assurance system has been operable already and needs just a small adjustment to new company's requirements. Please do not hesitate to contact us at our address:

Information about our production program:
PLEXPOL® is a thermoplastic material. Depending on temperature, the material is a solid and rigid, or solid and flexible, or even a viscous fluid. Specific feature: a high thermal expansion coefficient of approx. 0,08 mm/m deg C, approximately 8 times that for steel.
PLEXPOL® is widely applied in electrical engineering as insulation material. PLEXPOL®'s high transparency allow applications for electrical and physical apparatus with high electrical required from plastics materials. PLEXPOL® panels are a basic material for our Plant 1; they are also a product applied in many industry sectors.
PLEXPOL® stands out among other plastics for its great optical properties. The PLEXPOL® NO (colourless) panels boast the light transmittance factor of approx. 92%. Unlike ordinary glass, PLEXPOL® transmits UV rays: the transmittance factor is 50-70% for 310-340 nm light wave range.

1. PLEXPOL® NO (colourless) panels (all sizes in millimetres)
· 1080 x 1280, 3.40 thickness, ± 5% tolerance
· 1100 x 1280, 3.40 thickness, ± 5% tolerance
· 1280 x 1280, 3.40 thickness, ± 5% tolerance
· 2000 x 1250, 3.16 thickness, ± 5% tolerance
PLEXPOL® NO panels are applied in various industry sectors: automotive, machine building, optical, electronic, for decoractive products, gadgets as well as in construction and advertisement sectors (Polish Standard PN C 89240:1996).
2. PLEXPOL® panels, B type (variants: BK - bottom side colour varnished; BT – transparent) (all sizes in millimetres)
· 1080 x 1280, 3.10 thickness, ± 5% tolerance
· 1100 x 1280, 3.10 thickness, ± 5% tolerance
· 1280 x 1280, 3.10 thickness, ± 5% tolerance
· 2000 x 1250, 3.10 thickness, ± 5% tolerance
NO type panels and B type panels are applied in the following industry sectors: automotive (NO type panels acc. to PN C 89240:1996 standard; B type panels acc. to BN 88/6368 03 standard).
3. PLEXPOL® WO panels (all sizes in millimetres)
· 1080 x 1280, ± 60 mm tolerance
· 1100 x 1280, ± 60 mm tolerance, 3.5 mm thickness, ± 10% .
WO panels are used as material for manufacturing arch supports.
